International consultancy KPMG has just published the 2018 edition of its KPMG Fintech100  report, a curated list of the years best fintech innovators from around the world. This year, UK firms dow an increased presence on the 100.

According to Peer2Peer Finance News, this year there are 12 UK firms listed in the rankings, up from eight in 2017. This makes the UK  the second most important nation in global fintech.

City AM announces the launch of a new banking app called Emma - https://emma-app.com/. On the demand side, Emma is designed to appeal to millennials, while on the supply side, the company behind the app has managed (or perhaps, aspires to) the clever fintech trick of "integrating Monzo and Revolut."

The Fintech 'challenger consultancy' firm 11:FS has lauched Foundry, its Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform.

Chris Skinner (who has an interest in 11:FS, and is a non-exec)  discusses the launch on his blog

"DNB, Norway’s largest financial services firm,  have invested £3 million in the project, giving them a 5 per cent stake in 11:FS Foundry. The Norwegian bank intends to use the new product to optimise its unsecured credit offering.
