Peer2Peer Finance News on a new line pf credit secured by Funding Circle.

“FUNDING Circle has secured a €50m (£44.7m) funding line from Nordic lender Avida Finans AB to support small businesses in Germany and the Netherlands.

Avida will lend the €50m through the peer-to-peer lender’s German and Dutch platforms over a nine-month period, with a view to extending the partnership and lending a larger amount in 2020.”

AltFi reports on the Honeycomb Fund’s latest figures.

“The £610m Honeycomb investment trust, which invests in a range of alternative lending assets, saw a 6.4 per cent uplift in its Net Asset Value (NAV) in the month of May.

This brings its total NAV return for the year to date to 3.11 per cent, after adjusting for IFRS 9 accounting rules. In the whole of 2018 the fund delivered a total NAV return of 8.43 per cent after adjusting for IFRS 9 and 28.43 per cent since its launch at the end of 2015.”

“The Association of Online Investment Platforms (AOIP) has published a series of policy recommendations encouraging Congress to act and improve the online capital formation marketplace by fixing existing flaws in crowdfunding rules. The AOIP is a newer advocacy group formed in the last year.”

"Blockchain forensics firm Chainalysis, which recently expanded into providing KYC/AML support services to cryptocurrency businesses, has added another member to its powerful compliance team.

According to a company release, Michael Mosier, former high-ranking employee at the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the White House National Security Council, and U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), will join Chainalysis as Chief Technical Counsel.

“Mosier will be responsible for bringing legal expertise to our products, including data privacy and global anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, policy, and government matters,” Chainalysis writes.

Mosier will be working alongside Jesse Spiro, Chainalysis’ Global Head of Policy, “who recently joined Chainalysis from Refinitiv, where he oversaw global engagement and research on threat finance.”

Mosier and Spiro will also be working with Kristofer Doucette, “on the team based in Washington, DC…focused on Chainalysis’s government business.”
